The boys were delighted with their helmets and other protective gear. In return, the pledged to speak to taxi drivers about adopting safer driving practices.

In the first week of the third term, Kristen Williams and Swadhi Puramsir began the month long education program of the junior school pupils.

In the first session, various scenerios where drawn on the blackboard and the Grade 7 class nagivated their way safety to various destinations. The SADD team discussed the different danger points and how to walk or cycle safely in the road. The children were all given a reflective wristband to wear on their journey to school.

In the second session, the SADD team read different stories to the children about road safety and peer pressure and how to stand up about doing the right thing in terms of road safety, such as wearing a cycle helmet, not playing near the road or not running across the road in front of traffic. The children received a reflective wristband to wear when in the road.
