[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]28th September 2017 – Central University of Technology invited SADD to train their peer mentors on drink driving, alcohol abuse and basic road safety. This is to equip them with enough knowledge to run awareness campaigns on their campus in the future.
SADD managed to train 21 students and they benefited greatly from the talk that Mrs Smit gave.
As is common with most varisities that we visit, the students are faced with challenges of peer pressure, and the need to fit in. Because of this, most of the questions the students asked were related to reducing alcohol consumption and how to help a friends and family members with their drinking.
At the conclusion of the students received merchandise (branded T-Shirts, Fridge Magnets, Unit of Alcohol Cards) to distribute when they do the campaigns on campus now that they had been trained by SADD.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”1007″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”1011″][vc_single_image image=”1009″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
