On the 25th of April the SADD team joined the Student Wellness Centre at CPUT’s Cape Town Campus for a wellness day for the youth. We had a great time teaching all the students about units of alcohol and drinking responsibly.
We even gave some lessons to the nurses and doctors working at the Centre who tried on our Drunk Goggles.
Students who do not drink were able to learn how to educate their drinking friends, and those who do drink learnt about how much alcohol is in each drink. The girls were mostly surprised to learn how many units there are in a Savanna Dry, and the boys were surprised about how many units they were consuming in one night, and how long it would take them to get sober.
